Plastic Magic 7-27-09 (Shindig Shop special feature)

This is a feature show on one of my favorite Arkansas bands. Shindig Shop started in Little Rock in the early 1990's, eventually moving to Fayetteville in the mid-90's and continued to play as a popular act off and on until about 2003. This is an interview with two of the founding members Paul Burnham (keyboards, lead singer, songwriter) and Ross Hurley (guitarist). I (Filthy Phil) do not claim to be the best interviewer, but we had fun with it and i hope it comes across entertaining anyway. For those that got to see this legendary band play back in the day, this should be a treat. For those that didn't, i hope you enjoy what i believe to be one of the most creative bands from the state of Arkansas...Musicians featured: PAUL BURNHAM, ROSS HURLEY, RICK ERKE, BRENT SMITH, BILL LEE PHILLIPS, PHILIP CAFFEY, CLARE STARR, RICHARD GOODRUM, SID SIMONS, JASON ADAMS, BRIAN DICKERSON.... enjoy strange but true rock and roll DOWNLOAD LINK HERE:: http://www.mediafire.com/file/zyakjym321o/Plastic Magic 7-27-09 (Shindig Shop).mp3

CSC: The Marathon Segment...

These Days, it's hard to fathom three guys talking about the impact Ron Artest's desire to be the NBA's biggest badass will have on the NBA playoffs... for an hour.

Nevertheless, we three did it. The marathon segment. An hour-long, uninterrupted ménage à trois of NBA talk with Tj Carpenter, Nathan Rowe, and Eric Olson... you'll have to listen to find out who was the tweener....

The Show

Believe it or not, Billy Walker wasn't even in the game when this photo was taken.

CSC: George Shea, Spring Practice, We raised the bar today!

Oh, and people can listen to KXUA on the iphone now, with SHOUTcast!
Directions!!!

George Shea confirms our beliefs that Hot Dog eating is a sport and I think I may have booked a IFOCE Hotdog eating contest in Fayetteville. That happened FAST!

Hour1: The Tournament/ IBC/ Spring Practice Podcast
Hour2: What Makes a sport a sport/ George Shea/ Bahn/ Campbell Podcast
Hour3: Final Thoughts/ TV shows/ Mike Washington Podcast

Mike Washington is "testing the waters" of the NBA. NOT good for Arkansas basketball. The Hogs' roster just got downgraded from an F to an F minus. I would say that Washington is definitely NBA quality, but I can't help but think that his unexpected jump to the NBA is more because of chemistry issues and signs of the apocalypse in Fayetteville.

Here is Today's playlist of awesome CSC approved music:
1. It was there that I saw you - ... And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead
2. Sabotage - Atmosphere
3. Hands On... - Coachwhips
4. I Want You - Danko Jones
5. Bang Bang You're Dead - Dirty Pretty Things
6. Olympic Airways - Foals
7. Backwoods Preacher Man - Listener & EQ
8. I Walk the Path - Listener & EQ
9, The Night I Lost My Head - Maximo Park
10. Chaos - MuteMath
11. Cosmopolitan - Nine Black Alps
12. It's Mighty Hard - The Perishers
13. Assscending - preThing
14. Somewhere - The Subways
