RETRO-SONIC AFRO-SONIC

THE AFROSONIC TAXI cruised back in time on two recent shows. On Friday, July 3 we sampled sounds of the 80s, from Rumba to Marrabenta, Mbalax to Mutuashi. And on Friday, June 19, we dug even deeper into 70s Africa, highlighting the explosion of big bands that were transforming the music of newly independent countries.
