Monday, March 2nd marks the 50th anniversary of the first day of recording the best selling jazz album of all time - Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue". Its influence on jazz, rock, and contemporary classical music has been enormous. Join me, DJ EJ, at 6pm on March 2nd for a look back at the creation of this singular work. The first hour of the show will feature album excerpts and impressions and memories from former bandmates and music historians on Miles Davis and the recording sessions. In the second hour, we'll hear alternate takes, live recordings, and bonus tracks from Legacy's 50th Anniversary 2-Disc edition of "Kind of Blue". Over the course of the show, I'll give away 10 copies of this 2-Disc edition to local listeners.
